What is Staunch Industries?
Staunch Industries is an independent apparel brand shaped by the North Sea and the landscapes that surround it. Rooted in cold-water culture, craft, and curiosity, born from time spent surfing, diving, exploring, and creating our designs that are shaped by the Sea, in the landscape, and in the studio. We design with purpose, building pieces that last, carry meaning, and move easily between wild places and everyday life.

Creative Studio & Consultancy
Staunch Industries is an innovative, multidisciplinary creative studio delivering design and art solutions across brand, illustration, interiors, and bespoke fabrication. As a boutique consultancy with a playful but considered approach, we partner with clients who value craft, collaboration, and exceptional outcomes.
Rooted in user-centred, people-focused design, our work spans small to medium-scale projects developed in our Leith studio and Edinburgh workshop, alongside larger productions delivered through a trusted network of specialist collaborators.

Willie-Otto Beeslaar is a successful and award-winning graphic illustrator, artist, and has previously worked with some of the most prestigious agencies in the UK.
Representing some of the world’s best-known brands and receiving awards for his work, Will is the driving creative force and vision behind the company and brand.
His passion for design and his unique style and interpretation are reflected in the products and environments he works on and in.

Janeanne Gilchrist is a Photographic artist, image maker, and director/producer of Staunch Industries.
She has worked worldwide for a diverse range of advertising agencies, design consultancies and publishing houses. She has many years of management experience of delivering high profile projects for clients across a wide range of cultural and creative industries, festivals and creative arts led projects.
